We're excited to introduce our first-ever amateur beach volleyball tournament, designed for players of all skill levels who love the game, the sun, and good competition. Whether you're a seasoned recreational player or just looking for a fun day on the sand with friends, this one's for you.

Date & Time: Sunday, June 28, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Location: Santa Monica Pier

Team Fee: $150 per team

Team Composition Teams consist of 4 players and must include at least one player of the opposite gender. This is a co-ed tournament open to amateur and recreational players of all skill levels. Fun, teamwork, and sportsmanship always come first!

Tournament Format Every team is guaranteed a minimum of 2 pool play matches before playoffs begin. The top 2 teams from each pool advance to the quarterfinals, followed by semifinals, a 3rd place match, and the championship final. Awards will be presented to the top finishing teams.

CBVA Men’s & Women’s $4,000 Open’s and the Santa Monica Beach Volleyball Hall Of Fame Legends Exhibition. The Men’s & Women’s Open is for the High Level Beach Volleyball Athletes trying to win a piece of a $4,000 prize pool!

Included in the entry fee are beverages, event t-shirt and all of the beach volleyball action you can fit into the day. Come be part of a huge Santa Monica event!

Men's Open - $2,000 prize pool

1st place team - $1,000

2nd place team - $500

3rd place teams (2) - $250 each team

Sunday

Women's Open - $2,000 prize pool

1st place team - $1000

AAU TOURNAMENT

The AAU Beach Volleyball Tournament will feature 12 girls teams in the 18:U division, invited by the AAU Beach commissioner’s selection committee. This prestigious event is part of the AAU Beach Volleyball Triple Crown. Teams must earn a bid in order to play in this tournament by qualifying and winning a preliminary event. This event will feature some of Southern California's top 18U athletes. Play will begin at 9:30 followed by playoffs.

The AAU Beach program, which began with just 32 athletes in 1994, is the largest and most comprehensive junior beach volleyball program in the country. This year, AAU will operate over 50 tournaments in 12 states and Puerto Rico for teams ages 10 to 18.
