Event Summary

When in doubt, stretch it out!

Immerse yourself in wellness every Saturday, April 5 to October 11, from 8-10am at the Santa Monica Pier. Start your Saturday morning under the iconic Santa Monica Yacht Harbor sign with an easy-breezy group run from 8-9 AM. If you’re not a fan of running, no problem! Skip the run, and join us for Yoga and Yoga-Pilates Fusion classes at the west end from 9-10 AM. Best part? It’s all for free! Just bring your yoga mat and maybe a towel, and get ready to be guided by an incredible instructor.

WELLNESS & WAVES UCLA HEALTH TAKEOVER

Saturday | October 11 | 8am-12pm

We’re closing out this year’s Wellness & Waves series with something extra special: a UCLA Health Takeover at the Pier!

This free community event invites guests of all ages to “Be A Kid For A Day” with a joyful mix of movement, play, and wellness activities. Think morning walks, runs, yoga, games, and interactive experiences designed to spark fun while supporting self-care and mental wellbeing.

In partnership with UCLA Health, the Pier will transform into an open-air hub for health and happiness—open to the public and specially shared with UCLA Health employees and their families.

Free, family-friendly, and open to everyone.

Jackie Hinton - July 19, 26 | August 9, 23 | September 13

Jacqueline Hinton is a dynamic Los Angeles–based Pilates instructor, professional dancer, choreographer, and founder of Good Citizen, the first company to create personal Pilates loops. She’s also the owner of Good Body Pilates on Pico Blvd in Santa Monica. Originally from Austin, Texas, Jackie holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Texas and has worked in TV, film, and stage. Certified since 2006, she trains a wide range of clients and is known for her empowering, innovative approach. Her work has been featured in British Vogue, Pilates Style Magazine, and Voyage LA.

 
 

Jess Ray - October 11

Jess has spent the past decade teaching in Los Angeles, New York City, and Boston, bringing her creative and intentional style to each city she’s called home. Her vinyasa classes are designed to strengthen the body and awaken the soul, blending dynamic movement, breathwork, meditation, and music into a powerful experience. With a background in competitive gymnastics and extensive training in vinyasa, kundalini, and Katonah yoga, Jess brings a unique perspective to every class. No two sessions are ever the same, but each one invites you to move with purpose, feel deeply, and reconnect with yourself.

 

Kishan Shah - September 20, 27

Kishan is one of the dedicated instructors at Shefayoga Venice, where he brings warmth, skill, and a love for yoga to every class. Whether it’s guiding students through a flowing Vinyasa sequence or helping foster a calm and restorative space, he is committed to making each experience meaningful and inclusive. Kishan thrives on watching students grow, physically, mentally, and spiritually, and takes pride in supporting everyone’s journey toward strength, balance, and inner peace.

 
 

Kari Jaffee - October 4

Kari Jaffee is a full-time yoga teacher, wellness curator, and community leader based in Santa Monica. Teaching since 2013, she brings nearly 1,500 hours of training to her classes, which include Vinyasa, Yin, Ghosh Yoga, Pilates, meditation, and breathwork. She teaches locally at Shefa Yoga Venice and Hume, works with high-profile clients in sports and music, and has led wellness experiences at major festivals like Lightning in a Bottle. Passionate about creating spaces for connection, Kari blends movement, music, and community to inspire transformation and a sense of belonging.
