SaMo PRIDE

For the first time ever, in collaboration with the City of Santa Monica, Santa Monica Place and Downtown Santa Monica, we’re presenting SaMo PRIDE: an entire month of festivities and events to raise awareness and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, individuality, inclusiveness and acceptance. We’re keeping PRIDE through the end of June and are bringing the awareness, festivity and inclusivity to Pier 360. From LGBTQ+ athlete participation, free PRIDE giveaways, nonprofits on site who can educate and inspire, LGBTQ+ athletes in history installation and more… we’re excited to highlight this important part of our community. Come out and show your support at our epic beach festival! Our PRIDE partner, OneWest Bank, will also be on-site to help us celebrate and capture a truly extra-special month.

More about SaMo PRIDE

How do I get to the event?

Myth-busting 101: getting to the pier has never been easier. You can:Go Metro - take the Big Blue Bus or Expo Line from DTLA. Make sure to plan your trip ahead - there may be closures along the way! Rideshare - hail a ride with our friends at Lyft. Scoot or Bike - Please be safe, wear a helmet and follow the rules if you scoot or bike. No scooters are allowed on the pier or on Ocean Front Walk. Driving - We suggest the greener, cleaner modes of transport, but if you must drive, there are lots around the beach/Pier and downtown Santa Monica. You can try here, here or here. Just remember: don’t drink and drive!

Who can come to the event?

Pier 360 is an all-ages event fun for the whole family. We have kids programming, adult programming and activities for everyone in between (even your pups). Our events are free and open to the public, meaning we welcome people of all ages, races, genders, backgrounds and sexual orientations.

Can I bring my pets?

Pets on a leash are paw-some! We’ll have a pool “paw-ty” for the doggies, plus treats, festive outfits and more.

What happens if it rains?

It’d be a bummer, but Pier 360 is happening rain or shine. We hope for no ‘June gloom’ and sunshine all-day. If there is a major weather event (e.g. thunderstorm, lightning, etc.) we may be subject to cancellation.
