A portion of net proceeds goes directly to The Bay Foundation and the Surfrider Foundation. Together, they are the science and strength of local coastal preservation.

The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots environmental nonprofit dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our ocean, waves, and beaches through a powerful activist network. The Los Angeles chapter is currently working on campaigns to address water quality, plastic pollution, and equal access for all Californian's to enjoy our coastal commons. Founded in 1984 right here in Santa Monica, the Surfrider Foundation today is represented by over 160 chapters and clubs nationwide, each of them addressing global ocean issues at the local level. From stopping the flow of plastic pollution to fighting offshore oil drilling and ocean desalination, Surfrider is currently working on scores of local, regional, and national campaigns to safeguard clean water and healthy beaches for future generations. Represented by over 500K members, volunteers, and supporters nationally, the Surfrider Foundation is widely considered one of the most powerful coastal advocacy groups in the world, manifesting the concept of thinking globally and acting locally with each initiative.

The event helps benefit The Bay Foundation, which uses science-based, innovative projects to benefit all of us people and wildlife who love and enjoy Santa Monica Bay. The Bay Foundation cleans up our waterways, creates green spaces in urban areas, and restores natural habitats both on land and underwater. The Bay Foundation will receive a portion of the net proceeds from the event.

The Bay Foundation (TBF)—also known as the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation—is a 501(c) 3 non-profit environmental group founded in 1990 to restore and enhance Santa Monica Bay and local coastal waters. TBF is staffed by science and policy experts who are passionate about understanding and protecting the Bay and the Bay watershed, and all the benefits that a healthy ecosystem can provide all those who use and enjoy it. TBF works with a broad group of stakeholders, including government agencies, environmental groups, local communities, industry and scientists, to create and put into action innovative policies and projects that clean up our waterways, create green spaces in urban areas, and restore natural habitats both on land and underwater, such as wetlands and kelp forests.
