A Guide to V-Day at the Pier

Love is in the sea air! Still need a perfect last minute plan for the big V-Day? We’ve got the ultimate Pier guide to a fun-filled and romantic holiday weekend. We’re taking romance to a whole new level, so come down and share the #PierLove!

As you make your way down the ramp and take in the coastal views (snap a pic!), your first stop should be the historic merry go-round. More than 100 years old, the hand-crafted beauty is a one-of-a-kind art piece that’ll give you all the nostalgic ~feels~. For the first time ever, we’ve decorated the windows with letters from real people who have shared their most romantic #pierlove stories: a perfect (and free!) way to set the mood with your loved one!

After you’ve gone around, grab an ice cream cone or root beer float - yes, dessert should always come first! - and enjoy as you begin your stroll down the Pier promenade towards the West End.

To get the full Pier experience, no trip is complete without a stop at Pacific Park. They’re stepping up the romance this week with a heart-themed light program on the Ferris wheel, live music from viola player Daniel Morris and a funnel cake offer for couples who ride the wheel together.

If the circus arts aren’t your date night vibe, stop into the Playland Arcade instead for some loving competition with your significant other. Continue down the Pier for sunset and whale watching with the aquarium at the West End. Cap it all off with a four course dinner for two at Bubba Gump or good ol’ fashioned SaMo seafood at The Albright. Photo: @itsflyoclocksomewhere

Now that you’ve had the best Pier date ever, spread the love and save the memory with photos from the vintage-style photo booths in central plaza (on Friday from 2PM-8PM) and pick up a souvenir at the Pier Shop (30% off!).
