The Santa Monica Pier Corporation (SMPC) is a 501c(3) non-profit public benefit corporation that was founded in 1983. SMPC was formed for the purpose of assisting the City in the rehabilitation, preservation, protection, development, operation, and management of the Pier.

The Santa Monica Pier Corporation (SMPC) is the preeminent pleasure pier advocate. As the 501(c)3 organization responsible for the Pier experience, we preserve and develop the memorable character of the iconic Santa Monica Pier and its unique feeling of escape and excitement. We acknowledge and cultivate the nostalgia of locals and visitors alike while asserting its Southern California beach culture identity.
